HBCF Heartbeat December 2023 Edition
An incredible $137,000 in total funding is available to eligible charities in the Foundation’s 2023 round of grants.
This includes the new $50,000 Heritage and People’s Choice Grant, which celebrates the successful merger between Heritage Bank and People’s Choice Credit Union. The significant grant recognises both organisations’ long history of community support.
The Foundation will also award the $27,500 Our Shout Workplace Giving Grant, and four $15,000 Growing Stronger Communities Grants.
The successful recipients will be notified in early November 2023.
We’re thrilled to share the incredible results from our second Community at Heart Appeal, made possible by your generous support.
For this year’s Appeal, we collected donations of new lunchboxes or water bottles for Zephyr Education Inc.
Zephyr is one of our amazing Round 3 Foundation charity partners and make a positive difference to the lives of kids impacted by domestic and family violence. When fleeing domestic violence many children have to move schools. Zephyr Education helps reduce the stress of change. Through their support children are able hit the ground running with the correct uniform, books and other supplies.
Zephyr Education now supports children in over 178 domestic violence shelters and outreach organisations in Queensland, Tasmania, WA, ACT, northern NSW, Adelaide and Darwin.
With your support we collected:
These items will be used by Zephyr to ensure kids entering a domestic violence shelter have all the necessary supplies to start at a new school.
Thank you to everyone who visited a Heritage Bank branch during the Appeal to drop off their items or made a donation online.
